The Royal Lahaina Resort is on a beautiful beach in Kaʻanapali. It’s not on the main strip from the Sheraton to the Hyatt, but is immediately north of that section, on the other side of Black Rock from the Sheraton. Phone 808-661-3611.
About Royal Lahaina Resort
Royal Lahaina Hotel was the first hotel built on Kaʻanapali Beach, in 1962. It had started to look old, but all of the 350 rooms in the main 12-story building were completely rebuilt in 2006 and now they are beautiful. The surrounding smaller cottage buildings of the hotel (136 rooms) were in poor condition, but most of them have been remodeled in 2015-2017, so are now in good shape. The shorter 3-story tower building is still in old worn poor condition, and now is being separately marketed as the Kaʻanapali Ocean Inn (59 rooms), so I would not recommend staying in that 3-story building.

The Royal Lahaina Resort is not as close to the other resort hotels and Whalers Village shopping center as are the other Kaanapali Hotels (Hyatt, Marriott, Kaʻanapali Beach Hotel, Westin, Sheraton), but it’s still within easy walking distance.
