About Hui Noʻeau Visual Arts Center
The Hui has art classes for adults and children, as well as working artists’ studios. Maui art on display, and art done on the premises, includes painting, ceramics, photography, sculpture, and lithographs. There are media labs and weekend workshops. Of course, there’s a gift shop.
All of this is in and around the beautiful historic buildings and grounds of the old Baldwin House Kaluanui estate, including the plantation mansion built in 1917. There’s a jewelry studio, old stables, printmaking studio, lithograph studio, old mill, children’s studio and gardens, photo studio, ceramic studio, and kilns. House, lawn, and gallery hours are 10 AM to 4 PM Monday through Saturday. You can see it all on your own, or sign up for a 1-hour guided walking tour on Monday and Wednesday mornings. There are classes and workshops for all ages and abilities, and some of them are single-day events suitable for Maui visitors.
