Maui Friday Town Parties
Wailuku Party, Lahaina Party, Makawao Party, Kihei Party
***Maui Friday Town Parties are currently on hold from COVID Restrictions until further notice.***
Each Friday evening, some town on Maui has a street party. These are called Maui Friday Town Parties. It’s great fun for both adults and kids. Streets are closed, there’s live music, and numerous vendors set up tables and tents selling food, souvenirs, jewelry, art, flowers, crafts, clothing, and more. Shops in the town have extended hours and special promotions. Each party runs from 6 PM to 9 PM. All parties are free.
On the first Friday of every month, the street party is in Wailuku, on Market Street. The second Friday of the month it’s in Lahaina, on Front Street. On the third Friday of each month, the party’s in Makawao, on Baldwin Avenue. The fourth Friday of the month it’s in Kihei, at Azeka Shopping Center Mauka.
These Friday parties are a great chance to mingle with local residents as well as tourists, to hear some Maui musicians sing and perform, sample food from many local restaurants and food trucks, and to just have fun. Maui Friday Town Parties are also a good excuse to explore a town on Maui that you haven’t been to in the past.
