The Maui News says Stillwell’s is Maui’s best bakery, and I agree. Every item in the beautiful display case of dozens of baked goods, pastries, and desserts, is delicious. But that’s not all. It’s also a little cafe with just a dozen chairs plus seats for 8 more outside. They serve breakfast and lunches mostly to local Maui residents since very few tourists ever find this place. But I think it’s worth making the effort to go here when you are in Kahului or Wailuku, just to stop by and pick up a yummy pastry. You’ll find Stillwell’s on the north side of Kaahumanu Avenue, four blocks west of the Queen Kaahumanu shopping center, and just west of Baldwin High School. Closed Sundays.
