About Monkeypod Kitchen
This restaurant was designed to be less fancy and less expensive than Merriman’s other Maui restaurant in Kapalua. It is still beautifully decorated and the dinner entrees are only a little less expensive. But there are more other choices that allow you to eat lunch or dinner here at moderate prices, such as burgers, salads, pizza, noodles, or fish & chips.
Most tables are indoors, but a few tables are outside with a distant ocean view. The kitchen is open so you can watch them cook or see them toss your pizza. It can be noisy. Monkeypod Kitchen Wailea is a convenient place to get Merriman’s great food if you are staying on the south side of Maui (Kihei or Wailea) and don’t want to drive all the way to the west side for the fancier upscale Merriman’s in Kapalua.
