Māla Ocean Tavern is an oceanfront restaurant that offers indoor and outdoor seating, right on the water, overlooking the Māla Wharf. Located at 1307 Front Street across from the ocean side of the Lahaina Cannery Mall (Safeway Grocery Store). 808-667-9394
MĀLA is open daily, serving Brunch from 9 am to 2 pm. The menu includes Breakfast Entrees, Small Lunch Plates, Lunch Entrees, and Desserts. Details of the items in each section are listed below.
MĀLA Live Music Happy Hour runs from 2-4 pm every day, with excellent food and drink discounts and, of course, live music performances from local Maui musicians.
Dinner is served between 4 pm and 10 pm. Offering Pupus (Starters), salads, small plates, and many entree choices, and dessert. Whether Bone Marrow with Pipikaula, Seafood Brodo, or Chef Alvin’s spin on HuliHuli Chicken, the fusion of tastes for your pallet will erupt with a variety of local flavors. A detailed list is below.
A new feature is “Mala ‘til Midnight” with a special Raw Fish & Wagyu Menu by Chef Alvin Savella available from 10 PM to Midnight, as well as cocktail creations by our talented MĀLA mixologists.

MALA has an inspiring and surprising Wine Menu. Their in-house sommeliers and knowledgeable staff can help you find the perfect wine pairings for each culinary dish, no matter how sophisticated the pallet.
We classify MALA in our “Fine Dining” category of Maui restaurants, based on the prices of the full-size entrees. But you can turn MALA into a moderate or even inexpensive restaurant if you order one of the “Small Plates” or Flatbreads or a couple of appetizers. You can also save money during their Live Music Happy Hour daily 2-4p.
The favorite items on the menu are a unique appetizer called Ahi Bruschetta, the Seared Scallops, and the Filet Mignon. The favorite Brunch item is their Ube Pancakes or the Crab Frittata.
