Kamana Kitchen is under new management as of 2023 and is now called Yak & Yeti Kitchen Maui. Yak & Yeti is an Indian restaurant in the Foodland Kihei Town Center, across the street from Kalama Park.

About Kamana Maui

This is a full-service full-size restaurant with excellent Indian food. There is a large menu with numerous choices that you can order and have served at your table for lunch or dinner. In addition, Kamana Kitchen has a buffet lunch available every day. The buffet has at least a dozen choices of hot food, plus a salad bar. The full menu has a whole page of appetizers, a page of vegetarian dishes, five vegan entrees, five lamb choices, a page of chicken dishes, a tandoori page, a couple of combination platters, several seafood dishes, a few rice specialties, accompaniments, desserts, and eight kinds of naan bread.

My wife and I went with some friends so we could try out many different items from the menu. Everything we tasted was delicious. Sometimes I worry about Indian food being too spicy for me, but the staff here was most accommodating and let us each choose how mild or spicy we wanted each dish to be prepared.

If you are not familiar with the Indian names for many of the dishes, the waiters can describe them to you. Or you can have the buffet so that you can see what you will be getting. Or you can order the Royal Platter (either vegetarian or non-vegetarian) which includes a variety of delicious courses.

The Naan bread here is wonderful and comes in several types.
