When dining at Cane and Canoe at Montage Kapalua Bay, you can count on exceptional service, a delightful ambiance, and an overall elevated dining experience. Cane and Canoe feature indoor and outdoor seating, ocean views, and nightly live music. The restaurant’s interior is modern with touches of Hawaiian-inspired decor, namely the life-size canoe replica that is the centerpiece of the dining area. The building itself is shaped like an oversized Hawaiian canoe hale, and the general theme of the restaurant gives the nod to the integral role of canoes in Hawaiian culture. Cane and Canoe play two parts: casual breakfast joint and upscale dinner restaurant.

Breakfast runs daily from 7 am to 11 am. On the menu, you’ll find classic breakfast eats like buttermilk pancakes and omelets, elevated entrees like lobster benedict, and bites that remind guests they’re in Hawaii- malasadas, colorful fruit bowls, and tropical smoothies.

Come dinnertime, Cane and Canoe transform from a casual sit-down restaurant. Instead, classic plates are replaced with creative modern cuisine, with signature menu items primarily being steak and seafood. Spearheaded by award-winning chefs- executive chef Eric Faivre and chef de cuisine Ryan Ferguson, the generous plates at Cane and Canoe do not disappoint. Furthermore, sustainability and local ingredients play a central role on the menu- many dishes utilize locally grown produce, Maui-raised beef, and fresh island caught fish.
