Maui Kai is on a narrow section of beach, adjacent to wider beach areas. The beach immediately in front of Maui Kai is eroded and there is a low seawall between the beach and the building, but it is just steps from much wider sections of this long beach. This is one of the only Maui condo buildings where practically every room is beachfront, with great ocean views. There are 79 studios, 1 one-bedroom, and 1 two-bedroom unit in one 10-story building. Air-conditioned. Prices are usually lower than at the larger condo buildings in this area.
