About the Maui Coast Hotel
Maui Coast Hotel is one of the only hotels in Kihei. This area of South Maui is generally known for its condos, but if you prefer amenities and service, booking the Maui Coast Hotel is the way to go.
This hotel has 265 rooms but is expanding to include an additional 162 rooms (opening early this summer of 2024!) There are two towers post-expansion: the original Hoku Tower and the new Kai Tower.
The rooms in the Hoku Tower are warm and neatly appointed. The Kai Tower rooms are more modern and near the new infinity pool and pool deck. The Kai Tower and pool are slated to open in the summer of 2024. The Hoku Tower and existing pool are open now.
Rooms include amenities like air conditioning, microwaves, a flat-panel TV, and mini-fridges. The property also has a fitness center, tennis court, restaurant, laundry facilities, and a gift shop.
WHAT’S NEARBY
The Maui Coast Hotel has a great location in the heart of South Kihei. Charley Young/Kamaole Beach I is directly across the street. You have to walk across the street for beach access.
Kamaole Beach I is a county beach park with lifeguards, restrooms, showers, picnic tables, and beach volleyball courts. There is also decent snorkeling in the area.
Cove Park and Kalama Park are only about a half mile from the hotel. This is the premier beach for surf lessons in Kihei. This area also has beach volleyball courts, restaurants, shops, and bars.
MAUI COAST HOTEL DINING
The hotel has some great dining options for guests and restaurant-goers alike. Kihei Caffe opened a new location at the Maui Coast Hotel, and it’s one of the best places on Maui for breakfast. The hotel also has a poolside bar, Hanohano, with a great happy hour, pupus, and live music.
The Maui Coast Hotel is adding more beloved local dining options. Miso Phat Sushi – one of Maui’s top sushi restaurants – is opening in the Fall of 2024. The hotel is also adding a poolside food truck and a grab-and-go market once the new Kai tower is complete.
