The Wailea Beach Resort was formerly called the Wailea Marriott and is still run by Marriott. It is an oceanfront resort comprised of multiple connected buildings, mostly three and four stories each, at 3700 Wailea Alanui. Phone 808-879-1922.
The Wailea Beach Marriott was opened in 1976 as the Intercontinental Hotel. It was later run by Outrigger for a short time, before becoming the Wailea Marriott, and then the Wailea Beach Resort. It had extensive renovations of the rooms and grounds in 2016. There are 547 rooms. It is located on a rocky shoreline but is adjacent to Ulua Beach. The Wailea Marriott has a large children’s water play area with big water slides.
The main restaurant in the Wailea Beach Resort Marriott is Humble Market Kitchin by Roy Yamguchi. There is a Mandara Spa and a Fitness Center. There is a good Maui luau here for families.

The Wailea Marriott is a completely different hotel than the Maui Marriott, which is a timeshare property on Kaanapali Beach, an hour’s drive away from Wailea. There’s also a Courtyard by Marriott Hotel at the Maui Airport in Kahului.
