Whalers Shopping Center and Restaurants in the Middle of the Kaanapali Resorts
Whalers Village is the shopping center in the middle of Kaanapali Beach, centrally located between the major resort hotels of Maui’s West Side. It’s at 2435 Kaanapali Parkway, in easy walking distance from the Hyatt, Marriott, Kaanapali Alii, Westin, Whaler, Kaanapali Beach Hotel, and Sheraton. Open every day from 9:30 AM to 10:00 PM.
More than 90 stores and restaurants sell everything you need: clothes, jewelry, art, souvenirs, and even real estate. There’s also a full-size whale skeleton.
Very good restaurants here are Hula Grill, Leilani’s, and Monkeypod Kitchen. In the lower-level food court, some counter-service restaurants are Joey’s Kitchen, Nikki’s Pizza, Fresh Mexican, and Subway.
The free Kaanapali Trolley will take you between Whalers Village and the various hotels and condos along Kaanapali Beach, plus uphill to the Fairway Shops.
Things to do at Whaler’s Village
eating at great restaurants, shopping both locally made and mainstream shops, and enjoying the ocean views are all worth coming for. If you’ve got keiki (that’s kids), then you should check out the new climbing tower. There’s also a free hula show here several evenings per week (click for events schedule). Videos from two of those hula shows are at Hula Show videos. You can watch a few below too (including ME dancing!)
Whalers Village is also home to many other events. Make sure to watch for the Hawaii Food and Wine Festival schedule for events held here.
