Lahaina Cannery Mall – Maui’s only enclosed air-conditioned shopping center

For the most choices in one place: Hilo Hattie (Kihei).
For the lowest prices: Wal-Mart in Kahului.
For Hawaiian music CDs, there are some at Hilo Hattie. But the best prices are at Wal-Mart in Kahului.

Upscale shops and restaurants in a beautiful modern open-air mall

The Lahaina Cannery Mall 661-5304
Modern enclosed mall on the main road outside the north edge of Lahaina
Regular stores, tourist shops, restaurants, Long’s Drugstore, and Safeway 24-hour supermarket

Queen Kaahumanu Center in Kahului 877-4325
Macy’s and about 90 other stores, plus a food court
Biggest Maui shopping center
Where Maui residents (not just tourists) shop

And the usual Big Boxes:

Yes, they do have all of these on Maui: Costco, Walmart, Target, KMart, Whole Foods, Lowes, Home Depot. You’ll find them all in the main city of Kahului.
