Maui Prince Hotel changed ownership and became the Makena Beach and Golf Resort
Formerly Makena Beach Resort Wailea – Formerly Maui Prince
The Maui Prince Hotel became the Makena Beach and Golf Resort in 2019. Then it closed permanently on July 1, 2016. It is a few miles south of the other major resort hotels in Wailea. Because of its isolated location and somewhat smaller size, it is quieter than the Grand and the other big Wailea hotels. But that location also means that it is a longer drive to get from Makena Beach to shopping, restaurants, and sightseeing.
In 2018, the hotel/resort was demolished for luxury oceanfront condos.
